The goal of the workshop

The second workshop aim to work in the lab and synthesize different kinds of Metal Organic Frameworks for clean energy applications

Overview

In the second workshop, CENCEA team set four themes which were Carbon Dioxide Capture and Conversion, Water Harvesting, Gas Storage, and Large-Scale Synthesis. In addition, CENCEA and UC-Berkeley teams discussed every week one theme and synthesized MOFs that related to these themes in KACST’s labs

Outcome of the workshop

  • Learned about MOFs synthesis and characterization
  • Synthesized numerous types of MOFs such as MOF-801 (Water Harvesting) and Uio-66(Carbon Dioxide Capture and Conversion)
